Summerlin is a place in the Nevada state of United States of America. It is spread across 22500 acres and was developed by The Howard Hughes Corporation. It is a master planned community. It is situated near Red Rock Canyon National Conservation area and the Spring Mountains which makes summerlin Sun City one of the most popular and beautiful places to live in Nevada. Its state boundaries come partially under Las Vegas, Nevada and some part lies under the unincorporated Clark County. This community has been build very judiciously and with lots of planning. Therefore the available land in Summerlin Sun City has been used for many purposes like recreational, residential, commercial, educational, medical, cultural space along to some open areas to get fresh breathing air. It has more than 150 neighborhoods, parks, summerlin trail system, nine golf courses, places of worship, business centers, shopping centers and 26 public and private schools.
Now Summerlin Sun City is one of the parts of the huge summerlin community. It is an age restricted community. It was started building in 1990’s and was completed in 1999. Well what is an age restricted community? Well, as the name itself suggests these communities are open only to family which falls under the category or rule of that particular age rule. The rule in summerlin Sun City is that all residence must have at least one owner or occupant who is of 55 years or above. Summerlin Sun City is located in the Clark County of Nevada. It has four community centers, five swimming pools, three golf courses and courts for playing tennis or racquetball. The golf courses have been designed by Billy Casper, who is a professional golfer and the famous architect Greg Nash. The names of the golf courses present in the summerlin Sun City are the palms, the Highlands and the Eagle crest.
Summerlin Sun City is spread across approx 2400 acres. It boasts of more than 800 houses and more than 14000 tenants. It is a very unique community and all most all of the homes are of single floors.
